A BUSY SUMMER AHEAD…
Summer Ministry is underway! We are spending this week doing final preparations before hitting the road. Our summer ministry is always a step of faith. Each year for the past 31 years, we look at our budget and become fully aware that the funds are not here to do what we have scheduled. At the end of each year, we stand amazed at what God has done! This year is no different. As we prepare, we have found several things that need to be replaced or repaired. Our summer ministry has been largely multi-media for the past few years. We develop our own theme and curriculum and utilize electronics to make this possible. These items receive hard use, bouncing around in our vans. Our video projector ($1000) and auditorium size Bluetooth speaker ($350) must be replaced this week. In addition to this, our color printer that we use to print materials has also failed. The one we had, was donated several years ago. Another one like it would be $3500, but I think we can make do for now with a commercial inkjet printer for about $400. Another issue is our main 2011 Chevy 15 passenger van. We have received some funding toward a newer one, but a lower mileage van, like we require, is about $40,000. At the very least, we will need several repairs on our old van to get another year out of it. In addition to this, thousands of dollars are required for travel expenses and meals along the road for our team. Please pray for our team, as we step out in faith, asking God to help us reach thousands of unsaved children with the gospel message while providing spiritual food for the ones who know Him.
